Apostolic Palace of Castel Gandolfo

Papal summer residence on the slopes of the Alban Hills.

The Apostolic Palace has been used as a summer residence by the Popes from the time of Pope Urban VIII (1623-1624). With the Lateran Pacts of 1929, the Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo were again granted to the Holy See.
Currently the Apostolic Palace, which houses the Papal Apartment and the Gallery of Portraits of the Pontiffs, is a museum that offers an interesting exhibition filled with historical curiosities.
This visit represents a unique opportunity to learn about the history of the Papacy and enjoy the artistic, architectural and naturalistic beauties of this site.

The visit will take you inside the Apostolic Palace, a place rich in historical curiosities, immersed in the shining green of the Alban Hills.
